Lena comes to us with 15 years of customer service, marketing, project management, and banking industry experience, a broad skillset that imbues our clients with the confidence that their finances are in good hands.

Born in Bolivia, Lena grew up in Arlington, Virginia. For the past decade, she has worked in the banking industry, sparking an interest in becoming an accountant. She is passionate about helping people and is known for going above and beyond, contributing in innovative ways outside standard workflows and processes, sometimes resulting in the establishment of entirely new positions.

Lena’s commitment and dedication resonate through every process she oversees. Her attention to detail is one of her greatest strengths, matched only by her honesty and ability to foster strong and fruitful client relationships. In Lena’s estimation, the more transparent things are, the easier it is to see where you’ve been and where the road forward leads.

Lena loves to hang out with her family in her spare time, playing and watching sports—especially any kind of scrimmage game she can enjoy with her two boys.

Mahmoud is Make My Day’s Accounting Advisor, Accounting Manager, and Team Leader. He’s a dedicated problem-solver with more than a decade of experience working in the field, where he’s established a reputation for efficiency, hard work, transparency, and dedication to client success.

Born and raised in Egypt, Mahmoud gained most of his work experience in Saudi Arabia. He was first inspired by his father, a banker, who instilled in him a solid work ethic and attention to detail. He enjoys finding answers to seemingly impossible problems, leveraging his unique analytical skills and experience to provide innovative solutions to fit his clients’ needs.

As an immigrant himself, Mahmoud resonates with the concerns of new immigrants to the United States and finds great satisfaction in helping them establish their personal and business finances. To him, accounting is more than just a job—it’s a vocation and the key to his happiness in life.

Mahmoud is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified management accountant (CMA), holds a BA in Accounting. Working with the team at Make My Day enables him to fully realize his dream of helping others achieve financial literacy and freedom.

As for what he would be doing if he weren’t an accountant, Mahmoud would probably be an attorney. When he’s off the clock, you might find him watching football or fishing with his friends.

As an Accounting Assistant, Oscar helps Make My Day’s Account Managers with bookkeeping, payroll services, and tax registration. He ensures our clients’ financials are up to date and that we provide exemplary customer service.

Born in Fairfax, Virginia, Oscar grew up in Alexandria and has lived there his entire life. His parents came to the United States from El Salvador when they were quite young in search of a better life. Their success in achieving that goal continues to inspire him to go above and beyond in all things and always embrace the opportunities he has been given.

Though Oscar is currently studying for an accounting degree, he initially wanted to go into sports medicine. After taking an anatomy class, Oscar realized that this type of work was not for him, so he decided to focus on something he knew he enjoyed and was good at—working with numbers.

Today, he takes great satisfaction in the fact that our work helps businesses achieve their goals. Knowing what we do is critical to our clients’ success is a constant source of pride.

Oscar hopes to work hard enough to retire early so that he can enjoy life to the fullest. When he isn’t studying or working, he loves to spend time with his friends and family, watching or playing sports, and enjoying the little things that make life wonderful.
